It's hard to believe that priamary 1 started school a month ago. We are becoming more confident and independent every day. In Primary 1 we have made lots of new friends not only in our classroom but also in Primary 7. Our new Buddies have been extremely helpful and have really made our first few weeks in primary 1 great fun.

Primary 7 kindly took us on a trip around the whole school. They showed us where the other classrooms were, the new ICT suite, the Parent Run Library (PRL), the Gym Hall and the Dining Hall. We particulalry enjoyed looking round their classroom.

Active Learning in Primary 1

Primary 1 have been having great fun doing active learning tasks in our classroom. In Maths, we have been sequencing numbers to 10, making patterns, sorting and counting to name but a few!

In Language, we have been working hard at writing our letters and learning our sounds. We are getting really good at recognising them, writing them and knowing what sound them make. So far we have learned 11!

In Active Language, we have been having fun practising our letters, making words and playing phonics games.

Primary 1 are very lucky to be able to enjoy a wonderful Open Area just outside of our classroom. We are able to use to for Art Activies, Active Learning, Music and Golden Time.
